Tom Blachford is a Melbourne-based interdisciplinary artist working across photography, sculpture, and AI-driven image generation. With nearly two decades of experience spanning commercial and fine art, his practice explores the relationship between emerging technology and visual storytelling.

An early adopter of AI, Blachford uses the medium to realise concepts previously beyond reach, grounded in a strong foundation of traditional image-making.

Blachford’s aesthetic draws on architecture, design and pop culture, with a subtle subversive edge. His images exist in a suspended temporality, both futuristic and nostalgic, seen across series including Midnight Modern and Nihon Noir.

He has collaborated with leading clients including The Lucas Group, Grada Coffee and Supernormal, while exhibiting and selling work both locally and internationally.
